Thoughts on Truth and Honesty

Forest

Hello fellow travelers, if you have found your way here for the first time, welcome… and welcome back to all of you who have been here before… May our paths continue to cross as students and teachers as we wind our way down the path of remembering…

Today I would like to touch on two important elements of life that we are all here to experience, learn and practice. Truth and Honesty… I have been told by spirit that the majority of us earth travelers have a very difficult time with Truth and Honesty… For many of us, we may know the truth, but we do not tell it in a simple honest way. First we think and then we create a story that sounds plausible. Many times we weave a partial truth into our story so that it is believable… that being done, we feel justified in believing that we have told the truth… The fact is ninety-nine percent of the truth and one percent of a lie… is still a lie…

Many of us are taught from the time we are young that it is ok to lie… after-all, everyone else lies… others feel it is ok not being truthful when we have the ability to get away with lying... In our daily lives, we observe non-truths being told by our politicians, governments, in our personal lives, workplaces, and in the media across the globe. As humans, we create thousands of reasons to justify not being honest and truthful… however… According to spirit, there is No Good Reason to be less than truthful and honest in all things.

In order to change our world, we need to first change ourselves… Change always starts within… As individuals, we need to be brutally honest and truthful with ourselves. We need to find those places in our lives when we have not been truthful and honest, and in doing so, we acknowledge that part of us… From this place, we can begin to approach our lives from a different perspective.

The gift of this wisdom was given to me by my guides as they were reviewing my lifetime of truth and honesty… In their analysis, they accurately told me that for the most part I was a very truthful and honest soul, with one exception… exaggeration… and they wanted to know why I exaggerated… Of course, I gave them a very good human reason, to which they replied… “Please stop that habit now and just tell the simple honest truth exactly as it is without thinking,”… I am happy to say that I changed immediately. I had never thought of truth and honesty before that time…

Once you place your attention on truth and honesty, you will see and feel others not being truthful and honest in many places. Do Not Judge them! They have simply not remembered how important it is to be truthful and honest yet… but… rest assured, they will remember at some time… We can only be responsible for ourselves… and that my friends, is how we help the world remember the oneness and interconnection of everyone and everything… The very thing that our signpost, the universal flag stands for…

Let this simple thought about truth and honesty resonate within for a few days… feel what it feels like. Then, just tell the truth as it is without thought, exactly as it is... For me, I felt the change immediately…

Namaste,  Brian
