Now Is the Time ~ Reflections from the Road by Cassandra Curley

This past month was a true test in logistics and what my feet and legs are willing to endure Cassandra Curleywithout too much complaint! In total, I completed almost 400 miles of walking in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, Vermont and Michigan! Insects were prolific (the deer flies were relentless in) and a heat-wave pushed in but, I managed to progress unscathed. Equally abundant was the encouragement from incredible individuals who selflessly promoted the journey: Jon Roe of Conscious Connecticut in Hartford, Lisa and Cathy at Spirit Matters in Ellington, Jim, George and Sandy in Scarborough, Maine all gave their time and efforts generously. I am truly grateful for all their support.

With the recent violent attacks in Norway and Afghanistan and the ongoing financial upheavals in the United (or should I say, un-United) States, conflict is palpable. News of discord can feed the fear of a population, arousing an even greater sense of urgency in me to reach as many individuals as possible – particularly now, with the onset of the onslaught of political madness that will soon overtake the airwaves.

Most individuals desire Peace but, the helplessness and hopelessness they feel has given way to apathy. How can I inspire them to take action? How will humanity demonstrate their inclination for connecting with each other? Now is the time, more than ever, to commit to acting upon that impulse to create Peace. Change can be made when enough are willing to set aside their differences to achieve common goals. This union may even dissipate perceived differences to achieve a new point of view. If we do so first with our families and community, we can ultimately create change in the government, the media, and other institutions that may not immediately serve our higher needs. With a true commitment, we can steer the focus from fear and conflict to Unity and Understanding.

About Peace Messenger Cassandra Curley

I am walking 50 miles in all 50 states in 50 weeks to remind listeners and readers that we have forgotten our true nature of Peace. As a messenger of Peace, my goal is to bring awareness to those open to seeing the World in a New and Unified way – to invoke a willingness to achieve Peace through our Universal need for Love, Connection to one another and Purpose. Willingness and a commitment to resolve differences by seeking a common ground will change our world.

These therapies, though subtle, facilitate deep healing within clients by allowing their innate self-correcting mechanisms to engage. Through her work, she has learned how vital it is for us all to follow our inner guidance, which is exactly what she is doing in her walking mission today.
