A Conversation With Caroline Bourdreaux
Caroline Boudreaux is the Founder of The Miracle Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers orphans
to reach their full potential, one child at a time. While on her first trip to India in 2000, Boudreaux's life
was forever transformed when she witnessed first-hand the plight of orphans in that country. Upon her return
to the U.S., she founded The Miracle Foundation, which currently cares for 500+ children in four homes located
in eastern India. Using the United Nation's Children's Bill of Rights as a guide, The Miracle Foundation offers
a depth of care that is unprecedented in most orphanages. In addition to providing nutritious food, high-quality
healthcare, and a college-prep education, The Miracle Foundation established a family-style living model.
With a ratio of one Housemother to every ten children, this model allows for a long-term relationship with a
trained and loving Housemother and provides each child with the foundation for attachment, something most orphans are denied.
Caroline was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana and attended LSU in Shreveport where she earned a B.S.
in Psychology. Before The Miracle Foundation, Boudreaux worked as an Account Executive for Fox Television and
was in charge of new business development. Boudreaux was the recipient of the Hope Award, 2005; Impact Award,
2008; Membership in the World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders, 2009. She has also been featured as a
thought leader in books, magazines, films and news media, including CNN and "One Peace at a Time," a 2009 film by Turk Pipkin.

A Conversation With Joseph McCormick
After nearly a decade as a Christian Coalition activist and Republican nominee for the U.S. Congress in
one of the most conservative districts in America, Joseph McCormick learned firsthand the most destructive
force in our country today is Americans taking sides against other Americans. The turning point in his life
came in 2001 when his political career, marriage, business and reputation collapsed, his relationships
having been eroded by mistrust and hatred of his enemies. The pain of this personal loss was transformative
and he began slowly rebuilding his life on more solid ground, searching for a healthier way to engage in
politics.
Since 2004 he has organized a series of ground breaking private retreats that brought over 145 national leaders
representing over 70 million Americans into dialogue in search of opportunities to collaborate. His passion
now is to apply the tools developed in these gatherings to facilitating cooperation between grassroots groups
from all sides. In time, this informal citizen leader's network will serve as a resource for local, state and
national decision makers searching for innovative, bottom-up, win-win solutions in this time of crisis. He is
a former officer in the U.S. Army Rangers and a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and Yale University.

A Conversation With Colin Beavan
As the news stories go: "Colin Beavan is a liberal schlub who got tired of listening to himself complain about the world without ever
actually doing anything about it..." Thus, in November, 2006, Beavan launched a year-long project in which he, his wife, his two-year-old
daughter and his four-year-old dog went off the grid and attempted to live in the middle of New York City with as little environmental
impact as possible. The point of the project was to experiment with ways of living that might both improve quality of life and be less
harmful to the planet. It also provided a narrative vehicle by which to attract broad public attention to the range of pressing
environmental crises including: food system sustainability, climate change, water scarcity, and materials and energy resource depletion.
Beavan's experiment in lifestyle redesign is the subject of his book and a Sundance-selected documentary. He writes and administers
the provocative environmental blog NoImpactMan.com, to which about 1.8
million people have visited in just a year and a half. Beavan was named one of MSN's Ten Most Influential Men of 2007 and was named
an Eco-Illuminator in Elle Magazine's 2008 Green Awards. His blog NoImpactMan.com was named one of the world's top 15 environmental
websites by Time Magazine. Beavan has appeared on The Colbert Report, Good Morning America, Nightline, The Montel Show, and all
the major NPR shows. He speaks regularly to a wide variety of audiences, is frequently quoted in the press and consults to business
on the intersection of sustainability and human quality of life. He is director of the No Impact Project, a visiting scholar at NYU,
an advisor to the University's Sustainability Task Force, and sits on the board of directors of New York City's Transportation
Alternatives and on the advisory council of Just Food.

A Conversation With Michael Brown
Until 1989, South African-born Michael Brown was living what he called "a blissfully unconscious life" as a music journalist.
During this period of his life, Michael developed an acutely painful neurological condition called Horton's Syndrome. After four
years of suffering through conventional medical approaches, he embarked on a quest to integrate his experience through personal inquiry.
As Michael's quest for resolution unfolded, he began entering a state of being he called "present moment awareness" - a paradigm of
heightened consciousness running parallel to our conventional and mundane world experience. He discovered that his repeated entry
into this enlivened state of being, which he accomplished through ceremonial practice, plant medicines, and what he calls "consciously
connected breathing," resulted in a decrease of his own painful condition to the point of complete integration.
In the late 90s Michael began to chart a methodical pathway into present moment awareness with an intent to develop a practical procedure
that was accessible to anyone anywhere who wanted to initiate this experience for themselves. This procedure is now internationally
known as THE PRESENCE PROCESS.

spiritual experience. Before turning his attention to writing, James earned a Master's degree in counseling and spent more
than 15 years as a therapist to abused adolescents and their families. During this time, he began to witness in his clients,
and in current polls and popular books, a growing interest in what he called "the real experience of spirituality" arising
from within all spiritual traditions around the world, and characterized by the perception of mysterious coincidences which
when followed lead us into a deeper connection with the divine, a greater sense of mission, and a deeper realization of
mankind's spiritual evolution.
This observation grew into his adventure novel, The Celestine Prophecy, in which he describes nine insights each of
us is acquiring on our journey into a more fulfilling and conscious life. The book instantly became a worldwide "must read"
and was followed by two sequels: The Tenth Insight: Holding the Vision and The Secret of Shambhala: In Search of the Eleventh

In 1948 a little girl 7 years old came to America with her mother and father on the Queen Mary with hundreds of other refugees. Nearing
the shores of New York, she saw a tiny statue in the water. Everyone on the boat became very quiet and started softly singing prayers
of gratitude, kneeling down to kiss the ground. The little girl couldn't stop looking at the beautiful statue. As they got closer and
closer, it seemed as if this beautiful woman with a wand so tall and strong was smiling at her and was saying something good to her.
It reminded her of when her father threw her over the barbwire fence in 1944 at the Swiss border, looking up to the heavens he said,
"Save my daughter and she will always serve you." This little girl always knew in her heart her destiny had been chosen.

when followed lead us into a deeper connection with the divine, a greater sense of mission, and a deeper realization of
mankind's spiritual evolution.

professionally, yet searching for spiritual meaning before beginning his now famous conversation with God. His With God
series of books has been translated into 34 languages, touching millions of lives and inspiring important changes in
their day-to-day lives.
In addition to authoring the renowned With God series, Neale has published 16 other works, as well as a number of video
and audio programs. Available throughout the world, each of the CwG dialogue books has made the New York Times Bestseller
list, Conversations with God-Book 1 occupying that list for over two and half years.
Neale's work has taken him from the steps of Macchu Picchu in Peru to the steps of the Shinto shrines of Japan, from Red
Square in Moscow to St. Peters Square in Vatican City to Tiananmen Square in China. And everywhere he has gone-from South
Africa to Norway, Croatia to The Netherlands, the streets of Zurich to the streets of Seoul, Neale has found a hunger among
the people to find a new way to live, at last, in peace and harmony, and he has sought to bring people a new understanding
of life and of God which would allow them to experience that.

A Conversation With Harry Leibowitz
In 1996, Harry had a vision for World of Children when he was recovering from cancer surgery at age 55. Watching the Pulitzer Prize
announcements on TV, he noted that while there was a Pulitzer for art and literature, and a Nobel for the sciences and peace, and an
Oscar for films, there were no awards for those who were tirelessly serving children in need.
That realization was a catalyst for Harry, and he subsequently founded World of Children and pledged to dedicate the rest of his
life to creating a "Nobel Prize© for Children" awards program to support social changemakers helping children in need around the world.
A decade later, Harry now devotes all his time to running World of Children – serving as Board Chair and visiting World of Children
honorees around the globe along with his wife Kay-Isaacson Leibowitz, a World of Children board member and retired fashion executive
who has served at the helm of leading brands such as Banana Republic and Victoria's Secret.
Harry's honors include the Procter & Gamble Alumni Humanitarian Award in 2007, the Reclaiming Youth International Child Advocacy
Award in 2006 and the Starr Commonwealth Child Advocacy Award in 1999.

runoff; public water supply, and derelict barge and pier removal.
Mr. Marks resigned from Newark to do a self-defined coast-to-coast horseback odyssey across America entitled, "Ride for Nature" -
to help raise water consciousness. The trek used a lead horse and packhorse; lasted for 20 months; passed through 25 states,
and traversed over 7,000 miles while living outside full time. During the journey - Marks spoke before audiences at college
campuses; ranch and equestrian associations; civic organizations; Rotary; chambers of commerce; Lions clubs; museums, and

a July afternoon in 2006. When I first heard the rhythm and tone of this isiZulu phrase with the timbre and
feel of those simple voices, I was awed. When I realized that this driving chant beneath our song "Great Divide"
meant "I have hope," I became wholly entranced. -Taylor Hanson
Bono called their music 'genius'. Hip producers like the Dust Brothers and Stephen Lironi worked with
them early on, even before millions of fans screamed their names and critics applauded them. But for
Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson, it's always been about the music, and there's always been a message
in the music for those who were really listening.
